Dr. Abt was born and raised in small town Prescott, AZ. He was heavily influenced by his father who was in the medical field and brother who is a dentist which started his path towards dentistry. Dr. Abt graduated from the University of Arizona with honors and a degree in Microbiology. He then obtained his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. After dental school, Joe decided to move back out west and completed a General Practice Residency at Denver Health Hospital in 2011 giving him extra training in endodontics, restorative dentistry, and treating medically complex patients. Dr. Abt prides himself on continuing his education and is always staying up to date with the latest dental trends and technology in order to give his patients the best experience possible. Dr. Abt has a kind, easy going personality which eases the fear of the dental appointment while delivering the highest quality dental care.
In his free time, Joe loves exploring Colorado through skiing, hiking, climbing, and camping. He also is an avid traveler having been to over 30 countries and loves to experience new cultures and of course, new food!
